Julie Deans, Steve Higson and Holly dog of Gemini Walks on top of West Lomond in Fife.

Julie Deans & Steve Higson of Gemini Walks aim to provide you with a personal, friendly and professional service ensuring that the excitement of your holiday starts from the minute you contact Gemini Walks.

Some of the walks on offer are new and exciting trails, such as the John Muir Way & Walk Loch Ness 360, which give you an opportunity to explore some of the more interesting long distance walks in Scotland. However, we also have a wealth of experience with the old favourites such as the West Highland Way, Great Glen Way and Speyside Way to name but a few.

Julie Deans

Born a “Falkirk Bairn” Julie has always been proud to be Scottish and has led a fit and active life from a very young age. Although well travelled in her home country, Julie’s chance of promoting Scotland did not transpire until she started her business career when she formed Easyways in 1996. With a work ethic second to none, Easyways was a storming success and Julie grew the company for over a decade until she sold the business in 2006. However, after a well deserved rest, Julie could not stay away long and is now firmly back in the walking industry with Gemini Walks continuing to help walkers experience the beauty of Scotland.

Favourite Adventures :  reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro in 2002, the exciting East Highland Way in 2010 and the West Highland Way in 5 days in 2011.

Steve Higson

Steve was born in North Wales but his ancestry is firmly rooted in Scotland and he is proud to be part of the Scottish Diaspora. Steve migrated north in 1973 and has enjoyed living in Scotland ever since, being privileged to promote Scotland and all things Scottish. Having worked for 16 years with United Distillers plc (Diageo), Steve then enjoyed a spell as owner/chef of the Glenisla Hotel in Angus. It was at the Glenisla that Steve met Julie whilst she was researching the Cateran Trail. Steve now continues promoting Scotland with Julie through Gemini Walks.

Favourite Adventures :  walking the West Highland Way in five days in 2011 and the fantastic new John Muir Way in January 2014, before it was waymarked.

Holly Dog. Happiest in a Loch on a hot day! Gemini Walks.

Holly Dog

An active and most adorable pooch, our office dog Holly loves to become involved in all of the Gemini projects.  She is the first to grab her collar to get out into the fresh air and research all of those wonderful Scottish walks.

Favourite Adventures : the lovely Annandale Way in 2009 and the Three Peaks Challenge with Steve & Julie in June 2010.

Snoopy Dog

Snoopy and Julie on the East Highland Way.Holly is pleased to have a new walking companion! Our new addition Snoopy is just as enthusiastic as Holly about heading out into the countryside to take part in our research. His big paws are ideal for padding along the famous long distance tracks!

Favourite Adventures : Snoopy is just a novice but is already enthusiastic about the improved sections of the East Highland Way and loved the diversion past the most beautiful Loch Gynack between Newtonmore and Kingussie on the East Highland Way in March 2012.
