Gemini Walks is a specialist company with over 25 years of combined experience in organising Scottish Walking Holidays.
Julie Deans & Steve Higson of Gemini Walks aim to provide you with a personal, friendly and professional service in our quest to offer exciting walking holiday packages designed to take care of all of your holiday needs.
The walks on offer are new and exciting trails which take you off the beaten track and give you an opportunity to explore some of the more unusual long distance walks in Scotland. We are also currently expanding our service to include short breaks which take you to some hidden gems of places in our beautiful country.
Born a "Falkirk Bairn" Julie has always been proud to be Scottish and has led a fit and active life from a very young age. Although well travelled in her home country, Julie's chance of promoting Scotland did not transpire until she started her business career when she formed Easyways in 1996. With a work ethic second to none, Easyways was a storming success and Julie grew the company for over a decade until she sold the business in 2006. However, after a brief well deserved rest, Julie could not stay away long and is now firmly back in the walking industry with Gemini Walks continuing to help walkers experience the beauty of Scotland.
Favourite Adventures : reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro in 2002 and the new and exciting East Highland Way in 2010.
Steve was born in North Wales but his ancestry is firmly rooted in Scotland and he is proud to be part of the Scottish Diaspora. Steve migrated north in 1973 and has enjoyed living in Scotland ever since, being proud to promote Scotland and all things Scottish. Having worked for 16 years with United Distillers plc, Steve then enjoyed a spell as owner/chef of the Glenisla Hotel in Angus. It was at the Glenisla that Steve met Julie whilst she was researching the Cateran Trail. Steve now continues promoting Scotland with Julie through Gemini Walks.
Favourite Adventures : an unusual participant of the Edinburgh Moonwalk Marathon in 2007 and the Arran Coastal Path in 2008.
An active and most adorable pooch, our office dog Holly loves to become involved in all of the Gemini projects. She is the first to grab her collar to get out into the fresh air and research all of those wonderful Scottish walks.
Favourite Adventures : the lovely Annandale Way in 2009 and the Three Peaks Challenge with Steve & Julie in June 2010.
